Version 1 —
Inspired Beginnings→
PRE-BOOKING CONCEPT BASED ON INITIAL STORY AND FLOOR PLAN.
Created before the couple officially booked with me, this version was my interpretation of their story and the details they shared through their enquiry. Using their words, Pinterest links, and venue floor plan, I proposed a preliminary concept for the stage backdrop — translating their sentiments into something tangible, while offering a glimpse of how their celebration could feel in floral form.
Version 2 —
Site-Aware Exploration + Spatial Mapping →
POST-BOOKING REFINEMENT AFTER RECCE AND DEEPER CHATS.
Following their booking, our creative journey together continued with deeper conversations, a site recce, and more clarity around their vision.
I reimagined the concept to work in harmony with the physical space — accounting for the stage proportions and reflective surfaces. This version explored full venue styling, with optional dining florals and a backdrop designed to repurpose beautifully across their solemnisation, tea ceremony, and dinner. Palette suggestions were tailored to bring in more uniqueness and flow between events.
Version 3 —
A Vision Aligned →
FINAL MOCKUP REFLECTING PERSONAL PREFERENCES AND BOLD STYLE PIVOT.
With a shared desire to truly honour their story, this version marks a thoughtful pivot — one where bold, tropical energy is still at the heart of the design, but expressed in a way that feels more personal and playful to them. Rather than the glossy opulence of a “Crazy Rich Asians” aesthetic, they gravitated toward something bolder, quirkier, and more grounded in their style.
Through this process, they discovered a preference for removing palm leaves and refining the backdrop to better reflect their taste. They also chose to focus fully on the stage, letting it take centre stage as the floral hero moment of the day.
With a finalised colour palette and clearer preferences in hand, the mockup was reimagined to spotlight their favourite blooms, personality-filled movement, and the mirrored reflections unique to their venue — bringing everything into beautiful alignment.
