Our compilation of more commonly asked questions we’ve encountered to help you out at the start of your wedding journey with The Bloomish Eden.

Read on for some good-to-know information before starting your chat with us, and the rest are some topics we thought you might be curious about.

— the beginning: Taking The Leap.

  • You can find us on Instagram: @the.bloomish.eden for more updated recaps on our wedding projects!

Alternatively, if you have an idea in mind you want to explore, just drop us an enquiry and we would be more than happy to assist.

  • It is highly recommended to start enquiring 6-12 months before your wedding date.

For a full project (personal flowers & venue flowers), where we take you through the full process from ideation, moodboards and/or sketches, the minimal lead time would be 6 - 8 months before your date. For only personal flowers (bridal bouquet, boutonnieres, corsages, posies, etc.), a good lead time would be 4 - 6 months ahead of your wedding date.

Important to note for ‘hot dates’ :
If your date is pretty popular (by auspicious standards / nice date numbers like 10.10) an early start on enquiring is essential as those get booked out as early as 10-12 months ahead.

As the brainstorming and ideation process is very much personalised, it will be a longer process overall from ideation to finalisation. Starting the process earlier would then mean you are earlier to book your date with us and reaching the finalised quote and ideas earlier too.

Personalising your wedding theme sometimes require acquiring of items outside of flowers (i.e. the quirky stuff). Additional time is needed for sourcing and ordering and shipping whenever needed. If the enquiry process is too near to your wedding date, execution of ideas might end up being limited by shipping limitations.

  • TLDR; not necessarily.

    The long answer:
Bookings are solely done on a first-come-first-serve basis and we are unable to hold dates without a booking deposit placed. This means even if you’ve started your enquiry process earlier, if another couple goes ahead to place their booking deposit for the same slot, we would unfortunately not be able to take you up anymore (should we be fully booked after).

We take great pride in maintaining the quality and standard of design, flowers and service that TBE has come to be known for. We’ve got a really cozy team size who strive hard to keep our service and communication as personalised and reliable as possible. Hence, only a limited number of slots are open for booking every weekend.

  • If you are enquiring less than 4 months from your wedding, just drop us a WhatsApp to check on our availability for your date! If we still have any availability, we would definitely love to flower for you, even if we cannot do it at the full ideal scale you’d like.

  • We’d love to chat! Send in your enquiry with us and we will get in touch with our catalogue and rates for your consideration.

Enquiries are only accepted through these platforms:

    online enquiry form

    whatsapp +65 8198 9292

    email thebloomisheden@gmail.com

  • We are grateful and beyond honoured to have your 100% trust!!

But to be fair to you and prevent any surprises to your wallets later on, we will recommend having at least the initial quotation out first before you put down a booking deposit with us. That way, you are in the know of a rough estimate of how much your wedding florals will be. Our prices do vary with scale of order / the theme / requests for premium lux flowers. Kindly note that any additional requests after would result in the prices in the quotation changing accordingly.

The most important way to kickstart the enquiry process would be for us to check that we are available for your wedding! Please minimally have your confirmed wedding date and of course, share that detail with us so that we can check on our availability.

Other details that will help with the enquiry process:
    - theme / vibe / colours you like (pictures work best where words don’t),
    - confirmed venue & lunch / dinner session,
    - what you’d like to have,
    - your budget.

Other than that, if you are unsure about what flowers you want, do not worry! You do not need to know what you want already. We are here to guide you through that. But if you already know what you want / have inspirational pictures of the vibe you’d love to have, feel free to share those with us. It can be flowers / your outfits / your venue / your invitation cards, etc. Just throw it all at us! After we get to know and understand you a lil’ more, we can do that floral translation for you in your quotation. ;-)

  • The rates in the rate card / catalogue are just a guide as the starting prices for our various services. As all our weddings are fully customised, the rates do fluctuate based on requests you may have / chosen palette from our discussion as certain colours and flowers are more premium than others. External factors like surging floral prices based off supply shortage, increased demand, increased freight charges and government imposed tax may also contribute to fluctuating floral prices, changing with the seasons.

The rates will only be fixed after the booking deposit is made to secure your date with us. The booking deposit confirms the current quotation based on the discussed details. Whilst the ‘locked in’ rates will remain free from future inflation of flower prices & updates to our rates, should there be updates made to the details requested for the flowers / changes made to the initially agreed upon quote, any changes to the final amount will be communicated to you.

There is a minimum spending set to $3.3K for venue flowers & $380 for personal flowers. Enquire with us and we would love to chat more!

— the in-between: enquiring and waiting.

  • We are here to help! Pictures definitely help a ton when words don’t.

Just send us inspirational pictures of what caught your eye, your moodboard, Pinterest boards, etc. Whatever communicates your wedding aesthetics that you are after, we will go over them and make recommendations / describe what we picked up as your preferences and discuss further from there!

  • If you are looking to replicate an inspirational picture, we are not the florist for you.

Kindly note that we do not do replicates of other florists’ works out of respect for another’s craft and also for us to be able to express our creative freedom and style while flowering for your big day. Even if it’s a past work of ours, we will only be able to work within the same or a similar palette / theme.

With the seasonality of flowers, every bloom varies in tone, colour, shape and size. Hence, the outcome will still vary with the individuality of all blooms.

  • Mock-ups are available as an add-on service and will be a separate charge. It will also be subjected to our team’s availability.

But really, do we recommend mock-ups?
    No, not really.

    Here’s why!
    | Extra expenditure that does not give you a 100% guarantee of replication.
You will need to pay another round for the items at more or less the same rates since we are more likely than not going for a preview of your wedding theme. While the preview can help you better visualise the combination of colours & flowers, this will only serve as a rough guide for your AD. Not because we don’t want to but only because it is impossible.

As we work with fresh flowers & often seasonal blooms, the florals vary in tone, shape and size from batch to batch. We are only able to craft our flowers the way you see them because we can pick the seasonal bests for you. If the same flowers can’t be replicated when your wedding date rolls around (for reasons of being not fresh / not the correct tone / too small / too huge), we will pick a better alternative.

  • We always take note of your preferences and comments when crafting your flowers & when the chosen theme / palette is inspired by you and your love story, more often than not, you will end up loving your flowers! Aside from us doing our very best, our honest answer lies in two words: communication & trust.

    | Communicate with us honestly.
With the enquiry process, there will be alot of reference pictures going around, the refining of moodboard & sketches when needed to make sure we are on the same page. Alot of honest opinions and transparency go into this process, just because we don’t want you to have any rude shocks on your AD.

If there’s any areas of concerns you have for your florals, do not hesitate to voice them out during the discussion. We are all ears and more than happy to fine tune the details to your liking!

    | Go with The Bloomish Eden only if you can trust us.
And of course, most importantly, trust your gut! Go with a florist you can entrust your wedding day florals with. If we are not the right fit for you, don’t force it. We wholeheartedly want you to love every element of your wedding and not regret a thing. How do you know you can trust us? First, a good benchmark is that you love what you see in our portfolio and Instagram. Next, when chatting with us, you can vibe with us and communicate your ideas effortlessly…and we get you. Lastly, you can read what other couples have experienced with us and get a little insight on what it might be like for you!

We are thankful that our couples entrust us completely with the creative process because they love our works and so far, there are no rude shocks.

  • We have stopped taking in enquiries on Instagram DMs mainly because the inbox holds not just direct messages but also reactions and replies to IG stories. This means that enquiries will very commonly get pushed to the back or even lost in the message requests section.

Secondly, for a smoother enquiry process where we can scroll to refer for important information shared, reply to the message directly, etc., IG DMs is not an ideal platform for our enquiry process that goes over your wedding preferences in detail.

Enquiries are only accepted through these platforms:

    online enquiry form

    whatsapp +65 8198 9292

    email thebloomisheden@gmail.com

  • Firstly, thank you for reaching out and thank you for your patience! We apologise for the wait in hearing back from us.

During peak wedding seasons and mid-week leading up to the weekend, we are usually all hands on deck for ongoing wedding projects and will be putting admin aside.

Rest assured we will get back to you during our little pockets of time we have in between or whenever we are next available!

If it is very urgent or you’ve not heard back from us for more than 2 weeks, do drop us another text / email to bump up your conversation with us. If you have already dropped us an email / whatsapp prior and are hopping over to another platform of enquiry, it would be of great help if you could also mention any previous correspondence you’ve had with us.

  • Got your quotation and you’re surprised that flowers are more expensive than anticipated? It’s more common than you think!

With wedding florals, a lot more work goes into it than just “arranging flowers”. Or rather, with the inflation of flower costs, just “buying the flowers”. In the markets today, 10 stems of a single luxe variety of flower can cost up to SGD$150 and with arrangements consisting of more than 5 varieties at any single time, you can imagine how it adds up.

Floristry is a graceful, elegant art with a side of being a hot mess most of the time, simple because we want you to have the best! Here’s what the pricing you see comprises of:

Ongoing Enquiry Process: Labour and time required to research, communicate, plan and design your wedding. It’s an ongoing process from the time you enquire till the day that we finally present the flowers to you. Even when we are not talking to you, we will still think of your wedding and add to the content when we see inspirational pictures, or think of a new idea that might better suit the direction we are going for, or taking note of flowers at the suppliers that would be perfect for you. You will always be on our minds.

Prepping for your wedding: Depending on the theme, prep work consist of sourcing for hardware, planning, ordering, processing & conditioning the correct blooms to get the desired floral mood. As with imported fresh flowers, they do come pricier and also more beautiful! Aside from processing the flowers days before, sometimes, this step requires us to sometimes make a few trips around Singapore to make sure we time the blooming correctly to your big day. This ensures that the flowers are their biggest & most beautiful for your wedding. It’s very much science + art!

Logistical arrangements for your actual day set-up & tear-down: Behind the scenes being a hot mess from all the heavy lifting…from call times when the sky has yet to awake in the wee hours of the day, to arranging for transport to bring all the flowers safe and sound to venue with lots of TLC, crunch time setting everything up within the short time frame, repurposing, to then tearing down the installations & post-event cleaning up of inventory.

Hidden away behind the glam, softness and fragility of the flowers, is a whole other spectrum of hard work just to make sure we get to tell your love story the TBE way! Lots of heavy lifting, running around, planning, executing and years of refining and upgrading our skills and techniques that goes towards the perfect flowers you see on your wedding day. We love doing it time and again, just to see that smile on your face and be part of your celebrations!

— more on our flowers.

  • Why, it’s from our little Eden of a backyard of course…is what we would like our mysterious answer to be.

But, the fun reality is that all of the flowers and foliage arriving in Singapore are imported from all around the world! To name a few, there’s the ones from places with our similar climate Malaysia, Hawaii, Vietnam, India, Thailand, China. Then there’s also those from countries that undergo the beautiful four seasons — Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Africa, Holland, etc.

  • To a certain extent, yes.

You can choose what your must-haves and must-not-haves are! Please do share your loves and hates when it comes to flowers and foliage, if you have any. We always put our best foot forth and try to make it happen as best we can when it comes to requested flowers.

What we shy away from is not having creative control over the combination of flowers to translate your vision into reality. Our working style focuses more on the colours, theme and overall vibe you’d like your wedding to exude. Flowers are our creative medium to help you express that even better.

As we work with what is available seasonally, we would also need to have the flexibility in choosing the next best alternatives should the situation arise. Flower supplies and freights have become less predictable in this new climate and so, that means sometimes, the flowers we preordered just don’t arrive in time or even don’t arrive at all.

  • If the usage of your wedding flowers go beyond 1 day, we would recommend either getting another round of fresh personal flowers for day 2 / switching to dried or preserved option!

Although we do our best to provide the freshest blooms, we are not able to guarantee that the flowers will stay fresh for day 2’s usage due to circumstances we have no control over:
    - the weather and heat for the day
    - duration flowers are out of water
    - how the flowers are handled or interacted with on your AD

For repurposing of venue flowers, we would love to see how you can help you out! Do mention this to us during the enquiry process and we can make recommendations better suited to your needs.

  • No, you do not! Please bring them home as much as you can, and get your guests to re-home them too! If you’d love to reduce wastage and want your guests to be able to easily bring home the flowers, do let us know when enquiring. We’d love to see how we can work that out with your theme and floral items.

But, please check with us which ones are available for takeaway. As a general rule, all inventory items (i.e., frames, vases) are not to be brought home, unless otherwise stated prior to the event. Any damages to the inventory items during removal of flowers not done by the TBE team, will be billed to the couple.

— caring for your wedding flowers.

  • All fresh flower bridal bouquets will come in a vase with flower food water.

Keep in aircon overnight. If you do not have access to aircon, a well ventilated cooling area with a light fan breeze will work as well.
Top up water in bridal bouquet till stems are all in water. Don’t wet the silk ribbon.
Prepare a cloth to wipe the stems when removing the bridal bouquet from the vase for use.

To help your bouquet retain its freshness on your actual day, have the vase of water readily available at the side to plonk the bouquet in when not in use. Avoid prolonged exposure of the flowers to direct sun and heat which will make the flowers dehydrate and look more tired. Flowers thrive in cool temperatures and a water source, however, you do not need to spritz water on the petals as they would already be treated with a layer to help better retain the moisture within the petals on your wedding day.

  • All boutonnieres, wrist corsages and flower crowns will come packed in a plastic container / with a wrapper covering.

Do not squash or press on the boxes / wrapper.
Open boxes’ lids and keep in aircon overnight
. If you do not have access to aircon, a well ventilated cooling area with a light fan breeze will work as well.

  • All posies and loose hair flowers will come loosely wrapped and with a water bag / tube.

Do not squash or press on the wrapper.
Keep in aircon overnight. If you do not have access to aircon, a well ventilated cooling area with a light fan breeze will work as well.
Bridesmaids posies & hair flowers to be kept upright so the ribbon don’t get wet / water don’t leak out from water source.
Remove wrapper + waterbag for bridesmaid posies before use the next day.

All gift bouquets will come gift wrapped and ready to be presented as is.

Do not squash or press on the wrapper.
Keep in aircon overnight. If you do not have access to aircon, a well ventilated cooling area with a light fan breeze will work as well.
Gift bouquets to be kept upright so water don’t leak out from water source.

  • Be it the bridal bouquet, venue decor or Frame Your Memories, dried and preserved flowers last longer away from direct sunlight, humidity and strong winds.

Handle them with care as they are more brittle to touch. Moisture is your worst enemy (begone mould!!).

  • All car florals will be attached on to the car by The Bloomish Eden. By default, we only do the streamlined design and back doors. Front doors are available as add-ons.

Bridal cars are to be dropped off latest 3PM at The Bloomish Eden and collection would by default be together with the other personal flower items between 8PM - 10PM.

Any requested changes to this arrangement will need to be made known during the enquiry process and subjected to the team’s availability for approval. As we only use fresh flowers, this timeline is established to reduce the amount of heat the flowers will be exposed to from the car prior to your wedding day.

Upon collection, the car would have to be:
    — driven at a maximum of 60km/h.
    — parked under shade as much as possible, away from direct sun.

TBE will not be liable for any damages to the flowers after they’re handed over and driven off.

Please read our Terms and Conditions before placing your order with us.
